1 large head of red cabbage, washed and coarsely sliced
2 medium onions, coarsely chopped.
6 tart apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
3 tablespoons hot water
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/3 cup red wine or Balsamic vinegar.
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons butter
Directions:
1. Lightly spray slow cooker with cooking spray.
2. Place cabbage, onion, garlic, and apples in the slow cooker.
3. Combine hot water, sugar, vinegar, and butter and pour over cabbage
mixture.
4. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 9 hours.
5. Taste and add salt and additional sugar if desired.
6. Stir well and serve.
