So what’s the difference between low fat crock pot
recipes and light crock pot recipes? Well actually, there is no real
difference.
For the convenience of folks who are searching on the
word “light” and for those searching on the word “lowfat” to
get the same result, we’ve made two separate web pages – one for each
word. Since there is no difference between them, the recipes in each
page are exactly the same.
Using a slow cooker naturally helps reduce the amount
of fat and calories in your meals.
Due to the moist heat of slow cooking, it is not
necessary to add oil or butter to keep food from sticking to the crock
pot.
Lower-fat meats, such as
turkey, chicken and pork can be cooked overnight, refrigerated during the
day, and then you can skim off the fat that collects on top.
